The collaboration we’re excited to feature on the first Collaborators You Need to Know of 2024 is none other than Sporty & Rich x adidas, a partnership that produced some of the most coveted adidas Samba releases of 2023. Headed up by former Complex staff member Emily Oberg, Sporty & Rich has enjoyed a meteoric-like rise from being an online mood board to a full-scale clothing brand in recent years, and its popularity continues to grow with each new collaboration it cooks up with the German footwear brand.

Since releasing its debut collaboration a few years ago, the team of Sporty & Rich and adidas have worked on three projects together as of this writing, with the last team-up, a November 2023 capsule featuring several adidas Samba colorways, being the most hyped of the bunch. Sneakers from that collection include the Sporty & Rich x adidas Samba OG “White/Bold Gold” and “White/Core Burgundy,” and the adidas Stan Smith “White/Green,” a colorway that swaps the retro tennis shoe’s traditional leather upper for a durable canvas build. The latest Sporty & Rich x adidas collaboration was succeeded by these releases:
Sporty & Rich x adidas Samba OG “White/Green”
The debut collaboration between Sporty & Rich and adidas was the adidas Samba OG “White/Green,” released in November 2022. The colorway’s white-and-green appearance not only ties into a classic tennis shoe look, but also into Sporty & Rich’s vintage-leaning aesthetic, too. Clearly, the synergy between the two brands couldn’t be more perfect.
Sporty & Rich x adidas Samba OG “White/Black”
Sporty & Rich’s second collaboration with adidas was released in May 2023 and featured not one, but three different Samba colorways. Included in the pack was this ultra clean, ultra versatile “White/Black” style that is fetching upwards in $700 in a size 6.5 at Stadium Goods.
Sporty & Rich x adidas Samba OG “Blue/Grey”
Most Sambas by Sporty & Rich are designed with a white base and an accenting color, but not all. The “Blue/Grey” features an eye-catching Blue Rush leather construction and subtle grey accenting for a unique look.
Sporty & Rich x adidas Samba OG “Cream/Blue”
The third and final colorway from Sporty & Rich and adidas’s May 2023 collaboration is the adidas Samba OG “Cream/Blue.” A cream-colored leather upper and “UNC” inspired light blue accenting give this shoe a thoroughly old school look.
