As we begin this new year, we wanted to share a few important updates that we’re especially excited about in 2024:
New Ownership for Stadium Goods
The most exciting news: a large, global e-commerce marketplace called Coupang has announced plans to acquire Farfetch and its subsidiaries, including Stadium Goods. We’re excited about the scale, global presence, and logistics expertise they will bring to our business. We remain committed to serving the needs of our consignors – and we believe this backing provides significant opportunities for the future of Stadium Goods!
Supply Tools
We are focused on equipping you with the performance data you need to thrive as a consignor with Stadium Goods. Recently we launched a brand new experience in Stadium Supply to make it easier to find the top-selling, most viewed, and current commission promotion items. We also introduced new filters like brand, gender, price, and more. Last but not least, you can ‘favorite’ specific items by clicking the star to make it easier to come back and view data later on. Consignor Incentives
We’ve seen great success with our commission promotion program that offers a discounted commission on select styles where demand is outpacing supply – and we are looking to expand the program in 2024. Getting the right products at the right time is key to profit margins for our consignors and helps keep our customers happy. Look for a broader range of incentives in the coming year!
Trends to Watch
Last year saw the adidas Samba dominate while New Balance and ASICS became regular staples of our best sellers – and then the UGG brand surged in popularity during the holiday season. In 2024, we expect to see continued growth in Samba-adjacent silhouettes like the adidas Gazelle, Campus, Handball Spezial and Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66. The Y2K retro trend will remain strong in 2024 with ASICS leading that growth this year. Finally, more and more designer collaborations are hitting the market and we anticipate them making their way into our bestsellers list.
